Introduction
I went last night as my friend Xinxin's plus one. Although I left all my proper gear at home when I dashed out of the door, I had a wonderful time and was extremely excited that I finally played tennis with live people.
What is your NTRP playing level (http://tiny.cc/ntrp)? Beginner: 1.5-2.0. Most players: 2.5-3.5. Skilled: 4.0+
Absolute beginner. 1.5 or lower if there is such level. I only had a couple of lessons back in college, and I had never played with real people until last night. :)
What would you like to do in this meetup?
I would like to learn how to play tennis now that I have some extra time on my hands. So instead of starting with "I wish I played tennis", I can say I am learning to play tennis. I would also love to meet people who enjoy tennis as well.
What do you love about the game?
It is such a beautiful sport. I like it because the whole body has to engage to hit the ball. Although I can't swing a ball quite right just yet, I believe that one day I will be good at this game. :)
