Monday singles at Godbold park

Alright lets give this another try

This event is for solid 3.0 players and above. The organizer reserves the right to remove RSVPs for those who are unable to play competitively at this level and also to cancel the event if the weather is too hot (above 85 at 8p.m is not a good day in my books)

Who is welcome?
Men and Women: 3.0 and above

Timeline:
7:45 Say hello, pay $1 fee and warm up
8:00 - 9.30 - play tennis???

How does the waiting list work?
Members on the waiting list receive an email whenever a Yes spot opens up. Whoever responds first gets in. This format is to cut down on the number of people that unknowingly get moved off the waiting list then don't show up.

What is your RSVP policy?
*If you sign up, you must show up.
*3 No-Shows in 4 months - banned for a month
*5 no-shows in 5 months - your membership is revoked
*Rain or huge chance of rain - no-shows are excused
*If your plans change, please update your RSVP to 'no' ASAP. The earlier you open a spot, the better chance others have of RSVPing and guaranteeing full attendance.
* You should have a profile picture

    Hey guys,
Just a heads up, the courts at Godbold can not be reserved so if they are already occupied by the time we get there then we are going to have to wait. Be prepared for that

I have never seen 4 open courts at Godbold ever unless it was raining. 1 or 2 are a big maybe. We have been kicked off the courts before by a group that did reserve the courts with the City of Cary or so they said.

I had a really good time even though we had to wait for a bit. I wish Cary parks dept would let us reserve courts in advance ugh! And sorry that I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to everyone, it started pouring and I just grabbed my stuff and ran to the car. But few of us went to chillie's after that and had a really great time, the guy who waited on our table (I wish I got his name) was so nice, gave us extra napkins because we were all drenched and were shivering, brought us hot water and we ended up having a 2 hr long conversation with him about cell phones and technologies, all in all good time

Enjoyed the exercise and the people I met but meetups should not be attempted at any location without prior reservations being secured for the courts.
